NCQA Blog -

Public feedback is an important part of developing and updating NCQA’s programs. On November 5, NCQA opened public comment on proposed updates for Health Plan Accreditation 2020. In addition to standards updates, NCQA seeks feedback on changes to accreditation scoring, HEDIS®/CAHPS® measures and proposed process changes. NCQA is holding an early, extended comment period of six weeks. NCQA reviews all comments and presents results to its advisory groups for deliberation and approval.

The public sector is an integral stakeholder in NCQA programs and its overall mission. We encourage our public-sector colleagues to comment on the proposed changes during our public comment period. NCQA hosted a webinar for public-sector representatives to review the proposed updates and changes related to Health Plan Accreditation 2020.

If you were unable to attend the webinar, you can watch the recording below. If you have any questions about how these proposed changes might effect your work, please email publicpolicy@ncqa.org.
